5TH GRADE--5-ESS3-1.OBTAIN AND COMBINE INFORMATION ABOUT WAYS INDIVIDUAL COMMUNITIES USE SCIENCE IDEAS TO PROTECT THE EARTH’S RESOURCES AND ENVIRONMENT.
CONDUCT EXPERIMENTS WITH INFORMATION OBTAINED FROM OTHER CULTURES VIA SKYPE OR GOOGLE HANGOUTS. MY CLASS CONDUCTED A PLANT GROWTH EXPERIMENT WHERE SIMILAR BEANS GROWN BY OTHER STUDENTS IN NIGERIA AND GERMANY AND THEN THE PLANTS WERE COMPARED WITH ALL THREE SCHOOLS CONTRIBUTING TO THE OPEN DISCUSSION IN REAL TIME.

THIS IS ACTUALLY A VERY EASY STANDARD TO GLOBALIZE AS IT LENDS ITSELF TO MULTICULTURAL EXPERIENCES.
