The day started off early as we had to catch our flight back to Dakar. We made a quick stop to visit Fanta's husband's office.

I can not say enough about Fanta in both her ability to make a stranger feel like part of her family, her professionalism as an educator and her dedication to making Senegal a better place. I would welcome her and any of her family in my home at any time. I definitely plan on working hard to get back to Kolda as soon as I can.

This was a fantastic trip and opportunity to learn about others and help them as I could. I know I have changed from this adventure. I absolutely love Senegal and Kolda especially. I so admire and truly love my co-traveler Tinty who not only took care of me but made sure I drank enough water. She made Kolda more than just a place to visit. We talked for so long and in depth only to turn around and be goofy. I feel that we have known each other forever. I wish I was closer to New Jersey so we could visit often. She will always have a place in my heart. I did try to talk her to moving to Oklahoma, but got a resounding "No" lol

Back to Dakar..
A little sadder this time to arrive. We got back just in time to relax a bit, unpack, and have a nice dinner and a drink. The rest of the cohort would arrive the next day. We had Dakar all to ourselves! well kind of...
